  7. Weeeelll,  this  was actually one of the first driving games I've played
  8. where  you  have to actually sit in a seat (well, apart from Daytona USA
  9. !) (AND Ridge Racer, and Final Lap, and Cruisin' USA etc etc!  - F.ed)

  11. First  of  all,  get in the seat (there are two of them joined together,
  12. thus enabling two-player-I'm-going-to-win-you-ya-twat type games) and in
  13. goes  your  50p  (per credit) and give the yellow button a hard twat and
  14. then your on your way.
  15.  
  16. You  get  to  choose  between  Beginner  or Expert - I couldn't tell the
  17. difference  apart  from  in  Expert  mode, apart from your formula 1 car
  18. doesn't  go  in  a straight line properly.  Then select either Automatic
  19. (for wimps!) or Manual (this IS more like it!).

  21. It's  got  one of the gear "sticks" that instead of an normal car, where
  22. you  have to try to find where the hell 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear is by
  23. ramming the gear "stick" in all bloody directions.  Instead, you have to
  24. either push UP (up one gear) or DOWN (down one gear) which in my opinion
  25. is  faaaarrrrrrrr  better!  WARNING:  Don't try to start of in 5th gear,
  26. as it (obviously) doesn't work!

  28. There  only  appears  to  be  one  track - although I was playing in two
  29. player  mode  all  the time with me ol' m8 Danny (which incidentally, we
  30. spent about £25+ on the bastard!) !

  32. I  myself  can't  actually  drive (yet?) but I appear to be brilliant at
  33. driving games!  *=-)

  35. The  graphics are like Daytona USA/Ridge Racer 1&2/Sega Rally, which are
  36. bRiLlIaNt.   Everything  moves  at  a  gonad-fondling  60fps (at a crude
  37. guess).  The is sound is great ....

  39. A note to anyone who plays this game in two player mode :

  41. If  you  and your m8 seem to talk alot while playing a 2-player game (as
  42. me  and  my  mAtE does), I strongly suggest that you blab BEFORE you two
  43. start  playing Ace Driver, as there are 2 speakers about 1½" behind your
  44. lugs  and  you  won't  be able to hear your self/m8 as the sound is very
  45. bloody loud!

  47. OH YES !  The best bit about Ace Driver is .....  the moving seats !

  49. When you steer left your seat moves right (so the back end swings to the
  50. right  and the front goes left) and ditto for the other way.  Be careful
  51. when  frantically  steering  to the left and right at high speed, as you
  52. start   swinging   about   like  a  mental  bastard  and  then  everyone
  53. watching/near  you  will  think  you've injected yourself with Bleech or
  54. summat!

  56. $afaBEWARE: If you are going to play this game/simulation, beware when
  57.         you start to come (albeit in 6th gear) upto a huge corner
  58.         which has a mass-load of fence-things and there's a cliff drop
  59.         on the other-side. As there is a very f'kin sharp corner
  60.         cunning placed so you twat your formula 1 car into the wall.
  61.         I suggest taking this corner at 3rd or 4th gear - depending
  62.         on your game/driving skills. I can sometimes take it at 5th
  63.         gear !!!!!  Beat that yer girlies  ß-)
